KISC (98.1 FM, "KISS 98.1") is an Adult Contemporary formatted radio station serving Spokane, Washington.
In the 1980s KISC was a CHR/Top 40 station under the name of "Kiss FM 98". The station has competed with another CHR/Top 40 powerhouse KZZU. However, as hard rock and rap began to dominate Top 40 Radio, KISC shifted to Adult top 40 and eventually A very "hot" leaning AC format. In the 1990s KISC would take pot shots at KXLY for playing too much "soft sleepy music". When KXLY flipped to Adult Alternative and then to Country, KISC became Spokane's only Adult Contemporary station.
